No-bake Oreo Cheesecake- Halloween style!

on October 31, 2011

  • 8 oz. container of cool whip
  • 8 oz container of sour cream
  • 8 oz container of cream cheese
  • 1 pre-made chocolate or graham cracker crust (I like to make my own, but yesterday was a busy day!- recipe included here.)
  • 1 box of Halloween Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • chocolate syrup

First you whip the cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar until smooth

Then take 15 Oreos and crush um!

Don’t you like how I used my potato masher? Improvise people πŸ˜‰ !

Yeah!

Then fold into the cream cheese/vanilla/sugar mixture. After that, fold in the cool whip.

Be sure to have aΒ  taste tester on hand πŸ˜€

(Love how ZoΓ« is just lingering in the background…)

Add mixture to the crust, smooth over for an even surface

Drizzle with chocolate syrup

Crush 10 more Oreo’s and sprinkle over the top…

D’oh!

Forgot to take a picture of the finished pie 😦

Luckily we did not dig in last night, we saved it for tonight, so photo to come! (Blogging during my lunch break at work, so nowhere near that pie!)

I wanted to dress El up in her costume again for day-care today, but those darn sleeves are not comfy, pinching into her cute little arms… Whatevs, at least we got her in it for a few minutes and only around 35 photos πŸ˜‰

I decided to finally invest in some containers for the kitchen. Home Goods find yesterday:

One for sugar, one for flour. I will be keeping my eye out for more! Loving these. I always get spillage from these bags into my pantry. So annoying!

Have you ever shopped at Home Goods? Since we moved farther from the city, I’ve been shopping at a new store that seriously has everything, is huge, spread out, and nowhere near as crowded as the old one I used to shop at. It’s heaven I tell ya.

We also watched a couple of Disney movies this weekend w/ our boo: Toy Story 3 & Tangled. We just got Showtime for free for 3 months and saw these on there. We’ve seen them both before, just not w/ Elizabeth. Sean also totally didn’t cry when Rapunzel’s Dad and Mom were sending the lanterns up on her birthday… not at all… and I totally didn’t cry when Woody says so long to Andy.. we’re aren’t nerds like that! πŸ˜‰

Added bonus today- Sean threw in a couple of Reese’s Pieces in breakfast bag!

Love him!

Okay, this holiday is not helping our waistlines at all. Today’s lunch is going to be Subway (last day of $5 “Anytober”), and dinner is going to be a low-fat cheeseburgers (99% lean ground beef), paired w/ whole grain buns. I may even skip the cheese on mine! Also starting tomorrow- I am waking up at 6:15 to run each morning. November goal- to work out everyday for at least 20 minutes. Easy peasy (right…?) πŸ˜‰

Happy Halloween!
